All-Electric Multi-Component Machine at ESEF
March 2010 (2 12)
Injection moulding machine manufacturer Ferromatik Milacron presented a multi-component machine of its energy-saving ELEKTRA series at ESEF in Utrecht, The Netherlands, from March 9 to 12, 2010. The ELEKTRA evolution 180-2F with 1,800 kN clamping force produces two component GPS frames in a 2+2-cavity mould with turntable at a cycle time of 22 seconds. The standard injection unit of international size 450 injects the white frames and integrated speakers with ABS. After a 180-degree turn of the mould a second injection unit of international size 120 over-molds the frames with a colored TPE. The other half of the mould simultaneously produces new frames. “The main focus of the exhibition space of various European machine manufacturers at ESEF is energy efficiency, and here we have exactly the right product with our energy-saving ELEKTRA series,” said Stéphane Grossnickel, Ferromatik Milacron’s Sales Manager for Northern Europe and North America. “Half of all machines sold by Ferromatik Milacron in The Netherlands are of the all-electric series. In the first quarter further all-electric multi-component machines will be supplied to Dutch customers”, he added.
