AGS is bringing its new end of arm tool configurator to Fakuma, where it will also be showcasing its innovative PreciGrip.
AGS's Customerportal has enjoyed 18 months of success and Version 2.0 will be officially launched at the Friedrichshafen trade event.
The new Customerportal helps customers choose the right components quickly and easily. The intuitive, navigable system allows users to place parts in the shopping basket and find matching parts from the extensive EOAT System effortlessly.
The other star of AGS's Fakuma 2015 presence is the PrecisGrip - the innovative end of arm tool kit. Practice-oriented optimisation was at the heart of development efforts when creating this universally-applicable system.
"We wanted to create a system that offers more comfort in operation, but is more economical,” explained AGS CEO Marc Schwope, whose father Franz Schwope invented the legendary end of arm tool kit back in the 1980s.
One of the crucial advantages of PreciGrip, whose structure consistently follows 90° assembly, is the simplified and practical later addition of elements. The AGS system focuses on allowing users to adjust the acting elements such as suction cups, sprue gripper jaws, or gripper fingers. In doing so, the user does not need to remove other elements. This reduces changeover time. Also, using t-slot nuts becomes a thing of the past.
PreciGrip is 100 per cent compatible with all established end of arm tool systems in the market. Using a wide variety of standard elements, available t-slot nut components can easily be integrated into the PreciGrip system. This simplifies system changes for the user, who can then include existing components.
