The 27th International Exhibition on Plastics and Rubber Industries CHINAPLAS 2013, today (May 20) staged its opening in the China Import & Export Fair Complex, Pazhou, Guangzhou, PR China.
The exhibition offers a forward-looking platform, which focuses on sustainable development of the industry and the integration of plastics and rubber applications and innovative technology into the manufacturing trade around the world.
The four-day exhibition will be held until May 23 (Thursday) and is expected to attract more than 115,000 Chinese and foreign professional buyers looking to learn about, exchange and source chemicals and raw materials, and a variety of plastics and rubber technology.
This year, there will be over 2,900 exhibitors from 38 countries and regions, and 15 countries/regions will organise pavilions including Austria, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Korea, PR China, Taiwan Province, Hong Kong, Singapore, Switzerland, Turkey, UK and the USA. Together they will display a diverse range of chemicals and raw materials, and over 3,200 different items of plastics and rubber machinery. The number of machinery items being exhibited this year is 28% greater than those seen in 2012.
This year, many exhibitors are presenting what they believe to be innovative and environmentally friendly chemicals and equipment.
Arburg will introduces its hybrid Allrounder Hidrive 520H packaging model that claims to enable the production of ice-cream tubs in a cycle time of 3.5 seconds. German-based Wacker will exhibit GENIOPLAST Pellet S silicone plastic additives to provide a reported comprehensive and long-lasting anti-rub feature for automotive interior trims. BASF is showcasing its innovative concept fridge - coolpure1.1. The fridge is made of 10 different polyurethane materials that demonstrate the versatility and diverse fields of PU applications.
Over 50 seminars for technological exchange on a wide range of topics will be held during CHINAPLAS 2013. They include new plastics and rubber materials and machinery equipment, and the application of these to auto parts, packaging, wire and cable, film, the medical industry, etc. These seminars afford audiences an effective communication channel to prepare for future technology upgrades and changes.
CHINAPLAS 2013 expects to receive buyers from 150 countries and that visitors from outside China will make up 25% of its attendants. The show will welcome more than 100 overseas and local delegations organized by domestic users associations in the industries related to plastics products, automotive, building and construction, electronics and electrical appliances, packaging, toys, medical products and molds, etc.
The entrance fee for CHINAPLAS 2013 is RMB 30 (one-day ticket) or RMB50 (four-day ticket). The mobile website and APP of CHINAPLAS 2013 are live. Visitors can search for exhibitors' information and get the latest exhibition news, such as technical seminars, press releases, etc. on their mobile phones. Visitors can also download accessible information in advance or while visiting, such as the exhibition hall plan, transportation, hotel and catering services.
