Waste will be the central topic up for discussion at the upcoming NEW_InnoNET Stakeholder Conference 2016, where delegates will be brought up to speed on waste management and the circular economy in Europe.

Circular Economy
From June 8th-9th 2016 in Brussels, presenters and stakeholders will look at the roadmap for Europe on its journey to near-zero waste in a free conference on the future of the circular economy.
Participants will be informed on the obstacles currently keeping Europe from its near-zero waste goals as identified by experts in the field. These obstacles and their solutions will be discussed by keynote speakers and researchers. All registered participants will receive obstacle analysis reports before the conference allowing them to maximise their intelligence ahead of the event for an optimal experiece.
In addition, ahead of the event registered participants will receive draft roadmaps that will be used as key input for the European Commission’s new Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda on waste.
The roadmaps will be discussed on the second day of the conference. In three targeted workshops - ICT-waste, End-of-Life vehicles and packaging waste – participants are provided the opportunity to reflect on and contribute to the roadmaps. Delegates' involvement in drafting these roadmaps is important because the European Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda should be based on the experiences of all players in the field and not just the small number of allocated experts.
The NEW_InnoNet provides participants with the opportunity to use the conference as a springboard to action. Participants can – together with project partners – organise workshop sessions at the conference and organisers are encouraging visitors to make their lines of enquiry known.
Delegates can register for the conference online and places are limited. Queries or proposed lines of enquiry can be put to Project Coordinator Tjerk Wardenaar or PNO Managing Director Ron Weerdmeester.
