The current pandemic continues to impact how businesses operate, with health and safety measures continuing to limit face-to-face interactions. After the first wave of cases, we saw encouraging signs toward a return to normal. Now, an undesirable climb confirms a second onset and leads to uncertainty for what lies ahead. In view of the current situation, Maillefer has therefore decided to cancel its participation at the Wire 2020 industrial trade fair scheduled this December in Düsseldorf.

Maillefer cancels Wire 2020 plans
A recent press release read: ‘Safety for all is our first priority. The unforeseeable conditions do not allow us to envision a secure and safe environment for our visitors and for our multi-disciplined team. We recognize the considerable safety measures put in place. However, the crisis is in constant evolution. The health risks in the coming future remain unknown.’
Maillefer has long anticipated Wire 2020, and its employees have shown growing excitement for this key industry event.
‘Even with a setback in plans,’ the PR continued, ‘we feel there are opportunities to present and share the latest Maillefer innovations in equipment, process optimization, smart intelligence solutions, and life cycle services. Expect to learn more about these new offerings soon, both through media interaction and through novel face-to-face mini-events.
‘We believe that innovation and progress will always take precedence. It is expressed through the many ways people choose to meet and interact. We look forward to greeting you again in the very near future.’
