Moulding Expo will welcome Messe Erfurt's Rapid.Area roadshow to Stuttgart in May 2015.

3D printing
The international tool, pattern and mould-making event (May 5th-8th) will feature around 500 exhibitors on its show floor, where the Rapid.Area will offer an exclusive, focused presentation of the field of additive manufacturing at the centre of Hall 4.
Messe Erfurt CEO Wieland Kniffka said: "Product diversity and version switching are hallmarks of these sectors. Additive technologies are therefore a real trending topic. Regardless of what you call it, either the third industrial revolution or Industry 4.0 – additive technologies will also turn the tool and mould-making sectors on their heads. This is causing an increase in demand for knowledge exchange and information. Over the past 11 years, we have used our Rapid.Tech conference and trade fair to develop our expertise in this field, which we can now take to exhibitors and visitors at Moulding Expo."
In the Rapid.Area, experts will present the entire additive manufacturing process chain – from initial designs to the finished product. So far, 27 leading companies in the field of additive technologies have registered to take part, including Stratasys GmbH, RTC Rapid Technologies GmbH, voxeljet AG, 3D Concepts, Nonnenmacher GmbH & Co. KG, 3D-Laser GbR and 3DION, the 3D printing initiative founded by Ring Grafischer Fachhändler.
Recently-founded Swiss initiative for the promotion of additive production technologies swiss3Dprinting will also be presenting its work in Germany for the first time.
Renowned speakers will complete the exhibition programme, with specialist talks on relevant technologies in the fields of tool and mould making – from near-surface cooling to additive manufacturing, from embossing and cutting tools to tools for use in the automotive industry.
Rapid.Tech and FabCon 3.D: Concentrated additive manufacturing expertise in Erfurt
For 11 years Rapid.Tech, the specialist trade fair and user ́s conference for additive manufacturing, has been devoted to the industrial use of 3D printing, such as in the machine tool and automotive industries, aerospace engineering, and in dentistry and medical technology. The conference and trade fair is one of Europe’s most important information events in the field of additive technologies. On June 10th-11th 2015, Erfurt is expecting to host 160 exhibitors and around 4,000 participants from 20 countries. The third FabCon 3.D trade fair for semi-professional users and prosumers in the field of 3D printing will be held parallel to Rapid.Tech.
