William Petrino, President of Jomar, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, April 20th, 2013. Bill was a 1966 graduate of Mainland Regional High School. He started his career in plastics at an early age and grew to become a luminary in the field. With his vision and determination he led Jomar Corp as its President for 30 years and transformed this small local company into one of the world's leading manufacturers of plastics machinery.
During his career he was fortunate enough to travel the world several times over, often with his family. Throughout his many years of travel, Bill built relationships with people from across the globe based upon his charm, humor and love of life. His personality changed customers and employees into lifelong friends. Next to his family, Bill's greatest joy was going to work every day with the people he considered, "the greatest crew in the industry." Bill loved spending time with his family, traveling with his wife Denise throughout Europe and indulging in the world's finest restaurants. His seven grandchildren loved their doting Poppie and will cherish the memory of long weekend visits and summer vacations. Predeceased by his parents William and Tresilia Petrino.
Survived by Denise his wife of 47 years, his son James and wife Laura and their children Dustin, Michael and Nicholas, his daughter Dawnmarie, her husband Ron Gabriele and their son Luca, his son Anthony and his wife Bridgette and their daughters Alexandra, Genevieve, and Lillianna, his uncle Don and aunt Claire DeGrazia along with many loving friends and family. Mass will be held at 5:30pm on Wednesday, May 1st at St. Gianna Beretta Molla Catholic Church (formerly St. Bernadette's), 1421 New Road Northfield, New Jersey 08225. Our hopes and prayers were for Bill to receive a bone marrow transplant from a matching donor, but unfortunately one was not found.
