Röhm has successfully certified the production facility in Osceola, Arkansas, and the administration site in Parsippany, New Jersey, in accordance with the IATF 16949:2016 quality standard.
As a result, all three global production facilities for PLEXIGLAS and ACRYLITE moulding compounds, the polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) product brand of Röhm, are now certified in line with these high-quality standards of the automotive industry.
In 2018, the standard defined by the International Automotive Task Force (IATF) replaced ISO/TS 16949:2009 standards and certification, thereby combining the existing general requirements for quality management systems in the automotive industry.

For the audited sites, the new certificates provide verification that all quality management requirements were met in the course of the audits.
“The certification of all our production sites in line with IATF is a resounding success for the entire business unit. This demonstrates that we have satisfied the requirements of a world-leading manufacturer of PMMA products for the automotive industry,” said Siamak Djafarian, head of the Molding Compounds unit at Röhm.
“Naturally, clients in other industries will also benefit from the successful auditing and certification of all our processes, which shows that we refuse to compromise on the quality and reliability of our PLEXIGLAS and ACRYLITE moulding compounds.”
Volkhard Erb of ESHQ Management Molding Compounds, who oversaw the certifications with colleagues in the various regions, explained: “Obviously, we also aim to work to the same standards of quality in the three global regions. We are delighted that our efforts have been successful, and that we have obtained the appropriate certification for every region.
