Reduction Engineering Scheer (RE Scheer), a leading global supplier of pulverisers, pelletisers, and rotational moulding equipment, has unveiled its next-generation of pulverisers.
This new range of machinery can deliver a highly compact design, faster clean out, and more
efficient production and will make their debut at NPE. The four new pulveriser models include the RE 500, RE 1000, RE 1500, and RE PASS, all of which boost efficiency and cut production costs.
"Our next-generation line was developed in response to customer demand for a highly compact, more productive pulveriser that also offers faster cleaning," said James Mauri, Product Manager for pulverising/size reduction for Reduction Engineering Scheer. Despite its smaller size and reduced horsepower, the RE series of pulverisers do not sacrifice performance but in fact offer greater output and higher efficiency.
The RE Series pulveriser line is fitted with RE Scheer’s proven and patented disposable disk system and is coupled with a new air flow management system, according to the company.
Rick D’Angelo, Chief Operating Officer for Reduction Engineering Scheer, said: "We think this makes our new line of pulverisers the most efficient on the market today."
The air flow management system, which increases cooling of the mill chamber, is just one of several innovative features of the new pulveriser line. Other new features include a compact design that requires less floor space and no disassembly. A four-fork pocket design makes it easy to move the pulveriser with a fork lift when fully assembled.
A touch screen graphic user interface comes equipped with PLC tracking modes and Internet access for remote diagnostic and troubleshooting capabilities. Non-PLC versions are available on all models.
An Orbital Classification System occupies less space than standard systems and features a larger screen. The area comes with no back wire and is fully accessible from the floor. It has a 35% faster clean down and has fewer parts to service.
A mill and drive system features a new head design which eliminates cross currents and has a lower profile shaft and drive design to allow for higher motor torque. The high-efficiency motor ensures the most economic production and use of power. The entire pulveriser line has earned the CE (Conformité Européenne) mark, which demonstrates compliance with numerous EC directives, and enables the product to be sold throughout the European region.
