The new Zero Waste Zone on the first day of the largest plastics trade event in the US, NPE2015, was the perfect platform for SPI: The Plastics Industry Trade Association to announce its exciting new venture - a dedicated recycling forum.

The newly-christened re|Focus event uses SPI's understanding of and relationship with the recycling industry, forming a soon-to-be leading summit for this key segment of the plastics processing arena.
The inaugural forum will take place from April 25th-27th 2016 at Rosen Shingle Creek Resort, Orlando, FL.
Bill Carteaux, President & CEO of SPI, said: "As leaders in the recycling space, SPI and its member companies are committed to manufacturing products that reduce environmental impact by increasing the use of recycled content and promoting better design of products that make them more recoverable at end of life.
"It is out commitment as plastics manufacturers to promote sound recycling practices as economic and environmental solutions to the ubiquitous nature of our products."
Working together with its Recycling Committee, SPI and other stakeholders will develop sessions focused on relevant information that considers key challenges in manufacturing and design, addressing the supply chain, manufacturing, regulatory and labelling issues and corporate culture around sustainability trends.
The re|Focus Recycling Summit & Expo is expected to be a world-class educational and networking event highlighted by an expansive venue.
"re|Focus is truly an industry-supported conference that's already generated a broad range of interest across the supply chain, encompassing recyclers, brand owners, processors and equipment manufacturers," Carteaux stated.
