Amcor won two golds and one silver at the 2017 DuPont Awards for Packaging Innovation.
Amcor’s Vento coffee packaging won a gold award in the Technological Advancement and Responsible Packaging categories.
Vento, the laminate for ground coffee and whole beans, removes the need to purchase and apply traditional valves while still maintaining the freshness of the coffee.

The other gold was also in the Technological Advancement and Responsible Packaging Categories, and was awarded to Peelfit.
Peelfit was won in collaboration with Queen Holdings, who created Peelfit using Amcor’s CanSeal.
The silver award was in the Responsible Packaging category, for the 20-ounce Vitaminwater bottle.
The PET Vitaminwater bottle features Amcor’s PowerStrap and ActiveHinge technology to reduce weight of the package, and improve label efficiency and stacking strength.
Brian Carvill, Vice President of Research, Development and Advanced Engineering for Amcor, said: "Our global expertise is regularly producing packaging that is more functional, appealing, and cost effective for our customers and their consumers, and more sustainable for the environment.”
