Universal Robots (UR) has announced it will host what it says is the "world's largest" virtual conference and exhibition focusing on collaborative robots (cobots).
Called “WeAreCOBOTS” the event will take place June 16-18, 2020, targeting a European audience with automation trend keynotes and an extensive range of product news and demonstrations in five different languages.
Free of charge, Universal Robots is inviting visitors from all industries to join, browse the virtual booths, and learn more about the numerous benefits of collaborative automation while participating in inspiring in-depth talks by leading cobot experts.
The decision to host the large event follows UR having successfully held a similar online fair in Germany in April.
“WeAreCOBOTS” will be delivered across Europe in English, German, French, Spanish and Italian. It will feature over 30 virtual booths and 50 live keynotes by a wide range of robotics experts, visitors will gain valuable insight into the future of automation.
“At Universal Robots, it has always been our aim to think out of the box and be very solution-oriented even when the challenge seems overwhelming" explained Jürgen von Hollen, President of Universal Robots.
“Launching this virtual cobot exhibition underlines this mission and is a great new way to engage with anyone who is interested in learning more about the world of automation. With 'WeAreCOBOTS' we offer audiences within all kinds of industries and company sizes the chance to learn more about trends in automation that are especially relevant with the headwinds the world is experiencing these days,” he added.
von Hollen also mentioned the challenges of social distancing and disrupted supply chains in a manufacturing industry trying to ensure business continuity and production uptime while keeping employees safe and sound.
“We are very excited to offer this unique, engaging virtual space where attendees can experience all the ways collaborative automation can address these challenges," he concluded.
