The company is experiencing a rise in demand for polyethylene and colour masterbatch processing systems in addition to rigid PVC and the future looks bright.
Andreas Kessler, General Sales Manager of KraussMaffei Berstorff at its Munich site, said: "We are impressing customers with our long-time expertise as a system provider of complete systems that are exactly designed to meet their requirements - from the metering to the finished product.
"Thanks to their processing units matched to specific products, our twin-screw extruders feature very high outputs and excellent product quality."
He continued that KraussMaffei Berstorff is experiencing a period of healthy competition, where the company comes into its own when pitching its comprehensive process engineering expertise for processing a huge range of formulations.
"As a result, we recently further developed and optimised our machine technology for processing C-PVC formulations," Kessler noted.
KraussMaffei Berstorff sees great market potential for C-PVC pellets - with growth coming from Asia and India, in addition to Europe and North America - which, when processed into fittings, are used in hot and cold water applications.
