Burgsmüller GmbH, a subsidiary of the KraussMaffei group, will have its own stand at K 2013 in Düsseldorf for the first time. The specialist in screw and barrel elements will exhibit its range of products, from standard components for twin-screw extruders and injection moulding machines through to individual solutions with high-end wear resistance.
In addition to producing screws, barrels and components, Burgsmüller claims to be considered the inventor of the internal and external whirling process. “Our specialties are firstly our production expertise which enables us to economically manufacture wear parts for twin-screw extruders and injection moulding machines within an extremely short space of time and secondly our process expertise which allows us to answer every individual question by providing an ideal solution,” said Jens Biel, Managing Director of Burgsmüller GmbH.
The group produces screw elements for twin-screw extruders on machines from all major manufacturers. In addition to the design of conveying, kneading, mixing and back-pressure elements, the screw elements from Burgsmüller feature special wear resistance for longer service life. Burgsmüller also produces spindles and nuts for injection moulding machines. These spindles and nuts are used, for example, in ejector systems or clamping units.
