The Dynamic Days took place on September 8th and 9th 2015 and followed the recent launch of the recycling line recoSTAR dynamic. The event also marked the relaunch of the recoSTAR universal series.
The recycling of film, in-house scrap and post-consumer waste were in the focus of the “Dynamic Days” – two topics with increasing potential for the plastics recycling industry. More than 80 participants from various European countries and the Middle East followed the invitation, among them recyclers, film producers, collection and sorting companies, OEMs and suppliers. Starlinger’s recycling experts gave presentations about applications and case studies on in-line and off-line recycling of highly printed film, woven packaging, as well as post-consumer waste from municipality collection and post- industrial scrap. The event also provided ample opportunity for networking and technical discussions between the participants.
Three different recycling lines were up and running in the newly refurbished technical center of Starlinger recycling technology. On a recoSTAR dynamic 105, equipped with the high-performance C-VAC degassing module, heavily printed LDPE film and humid LDPE film contaminated with paper were processed. Transparent stretch film was recycled on a recoSTAR dynamic 65 line, and woven PET fabric production waste on a recoSTAR universal 65 VAC recycling line. Also on show was the laboratory extruder. It produced film out of the newly recycled material and thus demonstrated the superior quality of the regranulate.
