Ampacet, a global masterbatch leader, has introduced the Silky Bliss collection, designed to provide an elegant silky surface treatment as well as recyclability to PET and rPET packaging applications.
The company says Silky Bliss offers a sophisticated, modern look, enabling brand owners to increase product shelf appeal and consumer interaction with the packaging.

The new collection does not require mould changes, resulting in shorter run times, increased production capacity and significant cost reductions and is a simpler, faster, more flexible and affordable way to impart a contemporary delustering effect to plastic packaging.
Ampacet says with the European Plastic Strategy & Circular Economy Action Plan targeting recyclability of all plastic packaging by 2030 with a minimum of 50% of plastic packaging waste to be effectively recycled by 2025, more and more consumers consider the environmental impact of a product’s packaging while doing their shopping.
Ampacet’s Silky Bliss product range is near-infrared (NIR) transparent to allow sorting with near-infrared optical sensors and recycling. It enables the reuse, repair and recycling of packaging waste and allows recyclers to valorize this waste and support the circular economy.
The Silky Bliss collection features a very low light reflection for better readability of packaging graphics and text and includes six shades which can be customised with an unlimited number of colours
