European Plastics Converters (EuPC) and FoodDrinkEurope invite Europe’s packaging industry players to a joint seminar on how to ensure the sustainability of food contact plastic materials and articles, whilst maintaining safety for consumers.

EuPC co-hosting sustainable packaging seminar
This seminar will identify the key challenges and opportunities for the food and drink industry, such as how it can contribute to the EU sustainability objectives and meet their legal obligations in terms of consumer safety. Join the discussion together with the European Commission, plastic packaging manufacturers, food and drink producers, research institutions and other stakeholders at Vleva Auditorium on 23-24 April 2020, in Brussels.
Coinfirmed speakers include Peter Ragaert oft he University of Ghent, Mattia Pellegrini of DG Environment, and Head of Sustainability and EU Affairs at Borealis, Eugenio Longo.
The two day conference will cover such topics as the role of plastics in protecting food, packaging design for circularity, increasing recycled plastic content whilst maintaining food safety standards, and discussion on the EU plastics strategy.
