JSP has introduced a new higher density Electrostatic Discharge Protection (ESDP) grade, ARPRO 5152 ESDP, commonly known as a dissipative grade, suitable for the protection of electro-sensitive goods in the automotive and manufacturing industries.
The product protects from electrostatic discharge with a permanent surface resistance of less than 108Ω (ohms), promoting rapid static decay to protect against sparking. This specified surface resistance is maintained for more than five years.
Electrostatic discharge (ESD) is the sudden flow of electricity caused by sudden contact between two objects with different electric potentials.

ARPRO 5135 ESDP and 5152 ESDP dissipate the electrical charge, therefore protecting goods packaged using this material.
The company says ARPRO 5152 ESDP is a complementary product to ARPRO 5135 ESDP. ARPRO 5152 ESDP is mouldable from 57g/l to 82g/l, and can also be expanded on-site to mould from 23g/l to 43g/l.
A typical use for these grades is re-usable transport trays, as both ESDP products are ideal for the protection of electro-sensitive goods.
ARPRO 5152 ESDP offers additional structural strength to ARPRO 5135 ESDP, meaning it can be used to transport heavier electro-sensitive goods.
ARPRO 5152 ESDP has an average bead density of 53g/l, a bead weight of 1.2mg, and provides a deep black homogenous colour.
