One year after its foundation, the Exolon Group is launching a comprehensive brand change. As of 1 January 2021, the company is changing the brand name for its opaque sheet materials based on polycarbonate/polyester or polycarbonate blends. Bayblend will become the first brand to be marketed as Exoblend.
CEO Jens Becker said: "We make no compromises during production and guarantee the same high quality, the processing of the same high-quality raw materials, the specifications and the desired properties."
The product names of Exoblend sheets are characterised by their main properties. Thus Bayblend T65 becomes Exoblend TF (thermoformable), Bayblend FR3030 becomes Exoblend FR (Flame Retardant) and Bayblend MTX becomes Exoblend MTX (Mass Transportation Excellence).

Exolon Group
New name for Exolon’s Bayblend brand
Exoblend is an opaque coloured sheet material based on PC/ABS blends. The product range has been specially developed for thermoforming, to meet the highest requirements: Impact resistance, high thermal stability and halogen-free fire behaviour. Medium to large-area parts such as covers and housings are usually produced from solid sheets. The sheets can be painted or printed using standard procedures and can be mechanically joined or bonded to other materials. Exoblend is available in all RAL colours depending on customer requirements and is 100% recyclable.
Exoblend is the first product in the Exolon Group portfolio to be marketed under a new brand name with immediate effect. By mid-2021, the company will be adapting the brand names of all product series. Furthermore, our existing own brands will also be revised.
